1.21.2 Procedures

Procedure: install-wallpaper-config ¶

Write the wallpaper script and its systemd user units to their directories. Local overrides are read from $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/heks-linux/wallpaper-settings.scm first. Restart the timer with systemctl --user restart random-wallpaper.timer after changing the wallpaper list.

Procedure: mk-random-wall-cmd walls ¶

Render the shell script that picks a random wallpaper. walls is the list of wallpaper paths. The script selects from that list using the current day modulo the number of wallpapers, so a machine shows a stable image for the whole day rather than changing on every invocation.

Procedure: wallpapers ¶

Return active wallpaper absolute file paths based on the running theme palette.
